What is Health Kinesiology?

Health Kinesiology is a complementary therapy concerned with rebalancing the energy system of the body.

It uses muscle testing to identify the problem areas: light pressure is applied to a muscle and the response is monitored.

Once the stresses are identified, gentle techniques are used to bring the body back into balance and harmony with itself.

Common forms of treatment include the use of magnets, homeopathic remedies, flower essences, or even a particular thought.

Most clients find the session a relaxing and enjoyable experience, although they may be a little mystified as to how such unusual treatments can leave them feeling so much better!

No two sessions are the same, even for people with similar issues, because the person is treated as a unique individual. HK's truly holistic approach of addressing issues makes it an especially powerful healing system, which is being recognised increasingly by members of the medical profession.

In a single session, the therapist may identify BioEnergetic allergies, rectify nutritional imbalances, deal with phobias, rebalance chakras and start the process of rebalancing the body.

Health Kinesiology and What Happens During a Session

The client lies down fully clothed on a couch, with one forearm resting at right angles to the couch.

The HK practitioner gently exerts a light pressure on the arm to ascertain the level resistance that the client's muscle is able to give.

If the muscle relaxes and 'gives way' this is interpreted as a 'NO' response. If the muscle remains strong and rigid, this is interpreted as a 'YES' response.

By presenting the client's body with various stress items and then testing the response of the arm muscle to see whether it relaxes or remains strong ( NO or YES ), the practitioner can discover what weakens the client's energy system and more importantly what strengthens it!

Your first visit will be slightly longer than subsequent HK sessions because it includes an assessment.

The number of further HK sessions will vary according to each individual's needs, how long a particular condition has lasted and how quickly the body is able to respond. So this is something that will be discussed during the consultation.
